Ski size questions
Should skis reach my chin or the top of my head?
Between the two for most skiers. Beginners nearer the chin, experts at or above the top of the head.
Are women’s skis sized differently?
Length follows height, ability and weight for everyone. Women’s models are often lighter and softer, which can mean a slightly shorter ski.
How we size: height minus 12 cm (beginner), minus 2 (intermediate) or plus 5 (expert), then 5 cm either way for weight and terrain. Sources and dates are on how we size.
