About gearsizing

gearsizing works out what size bike, snowboard or skis to buy, for adults and children, from published brand charts. It’s free and has no sign-up.

Why it exists

Size charts disagree. The same rider is a 54 at one brand, an S at another and a 56 at a third, and most chart pages don’t say why. gearsizing puts the charts side by side, shows the reasons for each size, and links to every source.

Who makes it

gearsizing is made by Piyush Gaur, an independent developer. It isn’t owned by a shop or a brand.

How it’s paid for

In time, by ads and by commission when you buy through some shop links. Neither changes a size: the answer comes from the charts on how we size.
