Privacy

Short version: no accounts, and the calculators run in your browser. We don’t collect your measurements.

Your measurements

The calculators work in your browser. Heights, weights and inseams are not sent to us or stored on a server. The last ones you typed, your choices of units, colour theme and shop country are saved on your device so the next calculator starts from them. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them, or use this button:

Clear saved measurements

“Copy link to this result” puts your measurements in the link, so anyone you send it to, and your browser history, can see them. Only share it if you’re happy with that.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits, which pages are read and where visitors come from: a search engine, an AI assistant or another site. When a calculator gives you an answer, it records which calculator it was and, for bikes, the bike type. Never your measurements or your size.

In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, Analytics sets no cookies unless you agree, and we’ll ask with Google’s consent message once ads are on. Until then Google receives only a cookieless signal that a page was viewed. Elsewhere it uses its own cookie to tell new visits from returning ones. How Google uses this data. Blocking it with your browser’s tracking protection or an ad blocker changes nothing on the site.

Ads and cookies

When ads are on, they are served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies to show and measure ads. Visitors in the UK, the EEA and Switzerland are asked for consent first, with Google’s consent message, and can change their choice at any time from a “Privacy and cookie settings” link that appears at the bottom of every page once ads are on.

Shop links

Links to shops open the shop’s own pages. Some may become affiliate links: if you buy, the shop may set a cookie to tell it the visit came from gearsizing. We never see your order details, and we say so next to any link that earns a commission.

Messages

If you email us, we use your name and email only to reply, and delete the message within 12 months.

If you use the contact form, your message, the email you give (if any), the page you came from and your country are stored with Cloudflare, read only to reply, and deleted after 90 days. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks the visit is from a person; Turnstile’s privacy notice.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at hello@gearsizing.com.
